Essien returns in Madrid defeat at Celta Vigo in Copa Del Rey

Michael Essien played 65 minutes for Real Madrid against Celta Vigo on Wednesday night

Michael Essien returned to the  Real Madrid starting line-up  in their 2-1 defeat at Celta Vigo in the Spanish Copa Del Rey on Wednesday night.

The Ghanaian super star returned to the Madrid team after recovering  from a ‘ghost’ injury.

The 30-year-old encountered a bad allergic reaction to a medicine that was proposed and authenticated by the Madrid Doctor.

But the on-loan Chelsea midfielder made a quicker-than-expected return to the Real Madrid set-up as he featured 65 minutes for the Spanish giants.

Goals from Bermejo and Bustos gave Celta the lead but Cristiano Ronaldo pulled one back in a tie that the Whites will be looking to turn around in their stadium on 9th January.

Essien was replaced by Kaka.

Welcome back dawg…and please stop taking medication for 30 year old players. Next time that shit will kill you. Ask for the stuff for the 40yr olds.
