Ghana striker Ebenezer Assifuah is confident his Swiss side FC Sion will make a bright start to their Europa League campaign against Rubin Kazan on Thursday night.

The 22-year-old is set to be named in Didier Tholot’s starting line-up to face the Russian side at the Stade de Tourbillon.

Assifuah, who played 55 minutes in last Sunday’s 3-0 league win over Lugano, fancies his side’s chances of bagging the points.

“We are playing well in the league and now third on the table so we are going into the match with full confidence. I’m sure he can start our campaign with a win,” the former Liberty Professionals player told GHANASoccernet.com

Assifuah has scored one goal in eight league appearances this term.

Sion FC will also play Liverpool and Girondins Bordeaux.
