Richmond Boakye-Yiadom in action against FC Cologne

Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was kept at bay by FC Cologne as Red Star Belgrade won 1-0 on Thursday in Group H to make it to the round of 32 in the Europa League.

The Ghana international played the entire duration as Slavoljub Srnić scored in the 22nd minute which was enough to confirm their progression.

Boakye uncharacteristically missed a glorious opportunity in injury-time.

He went clean through with the visitors pushing up in search of an equaliser and came face-to-face with goalkeeper Horn but he tamely placed his effort wide of the far post.

The round of 32 draw will take place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon from on Monday 11 November.
