Christian Atsu says that it is a great honour to be able to play alongside Samuel Eto'o and Romelu Lukaku at Goodison Park.

The rapid winger, who signed on loan from Chelsea this summer, has not made too much of an impact on Merseyside, but he is still enjoying his time at the club.

This is partly down to the fact that he is able to train with some high-profile players at the Toffees and he says that having the chance to be in the same team as Lukaku and Eto'o means a lot to him.

"It is a great honour to play in the same team with players like Eto'o and Lukaku and those great guys at Everton," Atsu said to BBC Sport.

"Training with them gives me a lot of confidence, they always encourage me in training, especially Eto'o."

Despite taking satisfaction from the training at Everton, Atsu will be hoping to make more of an impression in the first-team soon.

The 22-year-old has all the attributes to be a major threat to defences in the league, but he is lacking an end product to his game at the moment.

Atsu has great pace and the trickery in possession, but Roberto Martinez has not entrusted him to be ready for a regular first-team role yet.

The Ghanian international has made just seven appearances for the Toffees since arriving in the summer and he admits that he wants to play a more vital part in their season soon.

"I am very happy with the club," he said. "This is my first season in the Premier League so things are very difficult and I am hoping as time goes on it will get better and it will become much easier.

"I am not worried at this stage that I am not playing. For me my dream was to play in England so there is nothing to worry about.

"As a player I am working hard to play each and every game."
