Coach of French side Evian says he will weep if Hull City target and Ghanaian midfielder Rabiu Mohammed is sold this summer.

But Pascal Dupraz says the hot chase for the Black Stars holding midfielder is proof that they have worked hard on improving the Ghana international.

Evian are in talks with several club to sign the Ghanaian player from the Ligue 1 side after excelling for both club and country last term, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Hull City are said to be leading the race to sign him but there is interest from Portuguese giants Benfica and Russian side Krasnodar are also keen on signing the midfielder.

With the reality of the departure of of his most important player starring at him, Evian coach says he will shed tears if his most important player leaves the club.

"Mohammed Rabiu is a sensational player, who deos a lot of important things for the club in the midfield. If he goes I will cry," lamented the coach over the possible departure of the player.

"But I would also be happy because it will show that he has made ??great strides in our club, " Pascal Dupraz added.

Part of the Ghana side that won the 2009 FIFA Under 20 World Cup, Rabiu has eight caps for the senior side.

He was also a part of the Evian team that won the French second division title in 2010-2011 while on loan from Italian side Udinese, which was sufficient to earn him a permanent deal.

Rabiu scored two goals and had four assists in 28 matches in Ligue 1 last season despite being a defensive midfielder.
