The Evian centre-back expressed his delighted over the return to action of national team defensive partner John Boye who is not fit-again for Rennes.

Andre Ayew also mentioned in the praise list with Mensah insisting their form will boost the Black Stars with the World Cup in Brazil looming.

"Majeed Waris keeps banging in the goals which means he gets another mention in my blog this week," Mensah said of the Valenciennes striker who scored two goals over the weekend.

"He has been phenomenal and really showcasing his undoubted talent. I watched Rennes last night and was pleased to see John Boye back in action.

"This will serve as good news for Ghana, as Andre Ayew has also made full return for Marseille."

Jonathan Mensah is one of Ghana's key players going into the World Cup as he will be making his second appearance in the global tournament if he is named by coach Kwesi Appiah.
