Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong admits Sweden was not his ideal destination after joining top-flight side AFC Eskilstuna.

Frimpong, 25, has had a bittersweet career sine leaving English giants Arsenal in 2014.

The Ghanaian, who failed to live up to expectation, has found a new home in Sweden after struggling in Russia where he featured for FC Tula and FK Ufa.

And he admitted the Swedish Allsvenskan is not the ideal destination he envisaged.

"If I'm honest, it was not where I wanted to be, but the main thing is that I am enjoying my football and playing games." he said

From being a comfortable London boy, the Ghana has started testing the world.

He is one of few British players who have left the islands to develop as a person and player.
