Ex-Ghana women's national team captain Adjoa Bayor is eyeing a return to the Black Queens after a two-year absence.

Bayor quit international football after the 2010 African Women's Championship in South Africa.

The 33-year-old has registered to play for Ghatel Ladies in the maiden Women's league which kick starts on 16 December.

Bayor, 2003 African Women Footballer of the Year, has rich experience after playing for clubs in the United States and Germany.

"The league would provide Adjoa the platform to convince the technical handlers of the Black Queens to take a second look at her and see if she can be useful to them," Women's League Board chairperson Leanier Addy said.

"Adjoa has not been axed from the Black Queens but it was due to her form. If she performs well in the league she could possibly be called back in the national team for future assignments."

Bayor played in three FIFA Women's World Cup finals and three African Women's Championships.
