Former Dutch international George Boateng is surprised clubs in the Premier League are not scrambling to sign talented Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah.

Asamoah, 26, appears to be increasingly evolving into a bit-part player at Juventus since suffering a bad knee injury last season.

The Ghana international is yet to be involved in any of Juventus’ pre-season friendly so far this term due to concerns over his fitness.

There were earlier rumours that Arsenal were interested in signing the former Udinese youngster but that link has gone cold in recent times.

George Boateng, who played in the Premiership for over 10 consecutive seasons is amazed clubs in the English top flight are not looking to sign Kwadwo Asamoah.

“If I was coach of a Premier League team, I would buy Kwadwo Asamoah today,” he told Sportscrusader.com.

“He is such an exceptional player and I think he will kill it in the Premiership.

“He can play left midfield, play in the center even at wing-back he can do it.

“I really admire him and I see the quality that he has.”

Kwadwo Asamoah joined Juventus in the summer of 2012 and has since been part of the Bianconeri’s Serie-A success for the past three seasons.
