Former Ebusua Dwarfs defender Christopher Bonney says he is close to finalizing a deal to Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak ahead of the coming season.

Bonney left Ebusua Dwarfs at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract.

The former Asante Kotoko right back started training with Hearts of Oak last Saturday and he's optimistic of striking a deal with the Phobians after featuring for the club in their pre-season training match against Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

“For now, I can say that, yes, I have joined Hearts of Oak. The deal is about 90 per cent done. I’m happy with the reception from the officials and even the fans since I started training” Bonney told FootballMadeInGhana.comafter Wednesday’s friendly.

“I am a free agent now and although many clubs want me to join them, I think I will stay with Hearts of Oak and play for them in the coming season” added the former Dwarfs and Asante Kotoko player."
