Ex-Ghana captain C K Akonnor has singled out Kevin-Prince Boateng and Andre Ayew for praise following their mesmeric performances in Europe this season.

The duo has been phenomenal for AC Milan and Olympique Marseille respectively this term.

Boateng was instrumental in helping Italian giants AC Milan to win the Italian title in his first season.

Andre was arguably Olympique Marseille's best performer this season where he narrowly lost out the French Lique 1 Young Player of the Year to PSG's Mamadou Sakho.

The 21-year-old has been linked with Manchester United, Barcelona and Liverpool.

''I think they have all done well but Kevin and Andre stands tall among their mates this season in Europe. From nowhere Kevin just fit into a big side like AC Milan and Andre with Marseille was another masterstroke,'' The ex-Wolfsburg and Cologne player said.

"They two impressed me the most because they had a remarkable season. It gives me sense of hope and pride that we have a great future with such players in this kind of form."
