Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has tipped his two sons to become football stars in future.

Appiah, who is close to hanging up his boots, believes his first son Larry is brimming with the promising prospects with playing top-tier football.

He has likened the 11-year-old, a player of Juventus junior side, to former France captain Patrick Vieira.

"Larry started showing glimpses of a great player from age 4. He has several similarities with Vieira and I see him more as a long term answer to my replacement for Ghana," Appiah said.

"He has the qualities to grow to become a pillar for Ghana and possibly Juventus," he added.

Rodney is a promising winger and has also developed the love for the sport.

"Rodney fancied car racing but we talked him into going into soccer which he has readily accepted and we are all happy for him," Appiah he added.
