Ex-Ghana coach Guiseppe Dossena has backed Fiorentina over the potential signing of Sulley Muntari.

Muntari, 30, is without a club after leaving AC Milan on mutual consent last week.

The Ghana international is being tracked by Fiorentina and a host of other clubs and former Black Stars coach Guiseppe Dossena has backed the Italian side to go for the former Portsmouth man, since 'he has a lot to give Italian football'.

"[Muntari] He's a guy that has quality and character, I would be happy to see him in a prestigious team like Fiorentina,” he told Radio Bruno Tuscanyi:

"He still has a lot to give to Italian football. Muntari is a versatile footballer. He can play both right and left and has a good shot from outside the box.
