Ex-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has decided to send his Sudanese side Khartoum SC on a pre-season tour of Egypt next month.

Appiah, who joined the club this after leaving the Black Stars position, started work with the side last week.

Kahtourm, home to Kenyan international defensive midfielder Anthony Teddy Akumu are set to camp in Egypt starting Monday 5 January 2015.

Akumu and his teammates resumed on Wednesday 17 December for preseason under new coach and former Ghana national team tactician Kwesi Appiah.

-We resumed training a week ago. Right now we are in Khartoum but shall leave for Cairo, Egypt on 5th January for two weeks before returning, the 2012 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Midfielder of the Year with Gor Mahia man said.

After Egypt, the team will return to prepare for both the Sudanese league which kicks off on 27 January 2015 and the Caf Confederations Cup where they were drawn against Zambia's Power Dynamos in the preliminary round.
