Ex Ghana defender Amankwah Mireku wants vacant Hearts of Oak job
Hearts of Oak had a disastrous start last season

Ex Hearts of Oak captain Amankwah Mireku says he will accept an offer to become the new coach of the side.

The position appears vacant following the board’s decision to ‘mutually’ terminate the appointment of David Duncan on Friday.

Irate supporters of the club are however demanding the immediate return of the ex AshantiGold trainer.

The board now appears inclined to heed to the supporters’ call following a threat to withdraw their services to the team if their demand is not met.

Amankwah Mireku who is part of David Duncan’s backroom staff has however put himself up for the job which now appears not wholly vacant.

“If officials consider me as the right person to do the join then why not?”

“I believe I also have something to offer to help the side.”

The Phobians fans have declared the reinstatement of Duncan ahead of Sunday’s trip to Amidaus Professionals.

The club’s board is set expected on Monday to either confirm or deny this declaration by the fans.
