Ex Ghana defender Baffoe to commission CAF Champions League match in Nigeria

Ex Ghana international Anthony Baffoe is in Nigeria to commission the CAF Champions League match between Sunshine Stars and Al Ahly.

The 47-year-old’s star has been rising since the inception of his new role as an international match coordinator.

Baffoe will be in charge when the Egyptian giants travel to Ijebu Ode for the first leg semi final clash of this year’s competition against the Agagu Boys on Saturday.

His professionalism on the job has seen him emerge as one of FIFA and CAF’s most trusted personnel in this field.

The ex Metz and OGC Nice defender was made a general coordinator during the 2012 Olympic Games in London earlier this year.

This came of the heels of his impressive works at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea and last year’s FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.
