Former Ghana Football Association chairman Alhaji MN.D. Jawula wants caretaker coach Maxwell Konadu to lead the team at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Alhaji Jawula, who was speaking of Ghana TV’s Sunday Night Live Programme, argued that the players are now familiar with coaching methods of the former Asante Kotoko coach who took charge of five qualifying matches.

He raised issues with the timing for the appointment of a new coach as the Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea will be played in two months time.

Alhaji Jawula believes beefing up the technical team with young coaches like Mas-Ud Dramani and Joseph Addo will make the team strong.

The Ghana Football Association is set to confirm the former Chelsea manager after the country’s Sports Ministry approved his appointment.
