Ex-Ghana FA president Alhaji MND Jawula has blamed Premier League clubs for the current sponsorship crises bedeviling the Ghana top-flight.

The new season is about to start next week but without a headline sponsor after Capital Bank suspended their deal.

No reason has been given by the financial institution for halting their relationship with the Ghana Football Association.

But Jawula says the behaviour of clubs have been a great disincentive.

“It’s not about the GFA doing something right or wrong. It’s about we ourselves (football clubs) truncating the league and therefore not allowing our sponsors to enjoy their mileage. Truncating the league to go to court and committees,” Jawula told Accra based Starr FM.
