Former Ghana FA chairman Lepowura MND Jawula has hailed the leadership qualities of world-class striker  Asamoah Gyan.

The ex-Ghana FA chief says he’s been impressed with the work ethics of the Black Stars skipper, pouring massive praise on him.

A 2014 World Cup Commission recommended a formal training at a recognized institution for the Al Ain attacker in the wake of the country's wrecked campaign in Brazil last year.

Many have criticized the recommendation which was rejected by government.

Former Ghana FA chairman, MND Jawula has slammed attempts to question the leadership qualities of the former Sunderland man, insisting he’s been impressed with his role.

“I have been impressed with Asamoah Gyan leadership qualities. He has shown that he has what it takes to carry this team on his shoulders,” he told Starr FM

“Football is a different entity. How do you recommend a player to undergo leadership training? For what? Leadership is something that is inherent. So I wonder how that can be done.

“He’s a fantastic leader and must be supported.”
