Ex-Ghana juvenile female star Laadi Issaka receives honours in United States

Ex-Ghana juvenile star Laadi Issaka has been honoured by the Mississippi Valley State University for her outstanding performances.

The Ghana Under-17 female winger was awarded for her excellence in sports and academics.

The Ghanaian teen earned an educational schorlaship with the American University after she excelled with Ghana's Black Maidens during the 2014 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Issaka, 19, received the honours for Soccer Rookie of the year, Female Rookie of the year, NCAA division 1 assist per game of the year, SWAC Regular Season champ and also achieved first class honours with a grand point of 4.0.

The youngster is currently studying Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education and Recreation.

She joins her compatriots Jennifer Cudjoe, Elizabeth Cudjoe and Ernestina Abambila who have all chalked successes at the University.
