Ex-Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston hailed Baba Rahman for his excellent debut display for Chelsea against Maccabi Tel Aviv in their opening UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday.

Rahman impressed heavily in his first start for the Blues with a 91% pass accuracy at Stamford Bridge.

The Ghana international helped the English giants turnaround their poor start to the season with a commanding 4-0 win over the Israeli champions.

And the performance of the former Augsburg left-back has drawn praise from former Black Star Laryea Kingston.

“You can see that he has what it takes to bring something different to the Chelsea squad,” he told TV3

“He is good on the ball, has confidence and in the last fifteen minutes of the game, he moved forward to teem-up with Hazard which was very good and exciting to watch. I think Baba did really well.”

Rahman earned widespread praise on twitter and seems to have justified his inclusion for this weekend’s big clash against Arsenal.
