Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah says he wants to implement the manuals of his former teammate Pep Guardiola when he ventures into coaching next year.

Appiah played a season with the Bayern Munich boss at Italian Serie A side Brescia.

He is now preparing for life as a coach and says he is motivated by the success chalked by Guardiola who won 14 titles in four seasons.

“I played with Pep in Brescia and I must say he is one of the technically gifted midfielders I have played against,” Appiah told GHANASoccernet.com

“He is doing well in coaching and we talk from time to time and it looks great.

“I will try to work on that direction and see how things come out.

“People are different but with hard work and passion we can achieve our goals.”

The 33-year-old is currently in New York where he is currently attending a three-day conference as an ambassador for Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves.
