Ex-Ghana striker Joetex Frimpong has taken a significant step towards boosting his coaching career by taking up the course to acquire the UEFA License B badge in Switzerland.

After playing for the trio of BSC Young Boys, FC Luzern and FC Zurich in the Swiss Super League, the Enyimba legend has since switched to a career in the dugout.

“I’ve acquired my first coaching badge in Switzerland and set for the Uefa B. Interestingly, the programme also involves my former teammate at Young Boys, Miguel Alfredo Portillo, and former Swiss international Christoph Spycher amongst others.

“My desire is to share the experience with footballers and become a better manager,” he told supersport.com.

Frimpong started his coaching career with the youth team of his former club, BSC Young Boys, before joining SC Derendingen in the lower division.

After a stint with Derendingen, Frimpong joined FC Niederbipp, also in the lower division, in 2014.
