According to reports in the Sudanese media, ex-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is set to take charge of the Nile Crocodiles.

Appiah has been identified by the Sudanese FA as a replacement for Mohamed Abdalla Ahmed who told the press about his resignation following the 4-0 defeat at Gabon in their 2017 AFCON qualifier.

The ex-international has been doing a great job with Sudanese Premier League side Khartoum SC who are third on the league table behind leaders Al Hilal and Al Merreikh.

Appiah was in Ghana last week for the burial of his former Black Stars teammate George Arthur in Sunyani.
