Ex-Ghana U-20 skipper Ibrahim Moro to play for Togo during AFCON 2017

Former Ghana U-20 skipper Ibrahim Moro who plays his football in Denmark with Silkeborg will be playing for Togo after accepting an invitation from the Togolese Football federation.

The 22-year-old moved to Denmark after impressing with Turkish top tier side Adana Demirspor but has not been invited to the Black Stars thus his reason for opting to play for Togo.

Moro, who played for New Edubiase United during his spell in the Ghana Premier League has been knocking on the doors of the Black Stars and this call up to represent the Togolese National team is one that has been welcomed by the player and his manager.

The player’s agent Jacob Klins Martin also confirmed the player would be playing for Togo during the AFCON.

“Well we have waited for the Black Stars call up for a long time and it never came so we are happy that its finally come from Togo,” Martins told Accra based Citi-fm

“The player is happy and I am sure that he will be prepared to give his to the Togolese national team.”
