Former Ghana U17 captain Paul Addo claims Fredrikstad’s Henrik Kjelsrud Johansen racially abused him on Sunday in the Norwegian second-tier.

But his club Bryne have decided not to proceed with the allegations because of lack of evidence.

It was after Bryne had lost 3-2 to Fredrikstad KK on Sunday.

“He said I should take the damn black hands away from him when I tried to mark him,” Addo told TV2.no after the match.

“I hope he gets a penalty.”

But the Bryne officials have refused to pursue that agenda to get the accused player punished.

“I've talked to our player, Paul Addo, who claims FFK player came with racist remarks, but this is word against word and therefore do not want neither we nor the player to go ahead with this,” Bryne manager Asle Tjøtta said.

“I also spoke with FFK and both clubs naturally strongly oppose racism - both on and off the field. But for us this matter is now out of the world.”

Henrik Kjelsrud Johansen has constantly denied the accusations that were made against him.

“I know what I've said and not said, and know that this has been nonsense from start. An absurd situation which I am now glad that's out of the world,” he said.
