Ex-Ghana U17 captain Paul Addo wants to gatecrash the Black Stars squad for this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The 23-year-old, who currently plays for Norwegian outfit Odd Grenland,  is determined to keep up his impressive performances to catch the eye of Kwesi Appiah.

Addo impressed heavily during his loan stint with Strommen and has been recalled by his parent club.

The former Ghana Under 17 star claims he has the ability to solve the problematic left-back role in the team.

“I am ready to play for the Black Stars whenever I am given the opportunity,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“It’s the dream of every player to represent the national team and so I’m just keeping my fingers crossed for a chance.

“Playing consistently is key for a national team call-up. I will working hard at my club level and hope that he (Kwesi Appiah) will see my performances.”

Addo was a member of the Ghana U17 squad that finished in fourth place at the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup in Korea.
