Maxwell Acosty mobbed by team-mates after scoring for Latina

Former Ghana Olympic team striker Maxwell Acosty scored the consolation goal for Latina in their 2-1 reverse at Virtus Lanciano in the Italian Serie B on Saturday.

The 24-year-old former Fiorentina attacker struck in the 41st minute to cancel out Antonio Piccolo’s 11th minute opening goal for the host.

It was a trademark finish from the Ghanaian international as he blazed through the Lanciano backline to finish a move to register his 5th goal of the campaign.

The goal became his fourth strike in his last eight games for Latina.

Acosty now holds an Italian passport after marrying an Italian lady and can commit his international future to the European country.
