Ex-Ghana youth midfielder Kwame Boahene is in Ghana in Ghana to complete paperwork as he prepares to start his career with Libyan side Ahli Tripoli.
The 20-year-old penned a three-year deal with the North African side last week, as exclusively revealed by Ghana’s leading website, www.Ghanasoccernet.com over the weekend.
He will join the Libyan champions early next month in Tunisia for pre-season ahead of their involvement in next season’s CAF Champions League.
He has sneaked into town to prepare for the journey ahead with massive expectations on him to excel at the club.
Boahene, touted as one of the finest Ghanaian young players, made the surprise move to Libya after impressing heavily during a trial session with Egyptian side Petrojet.
Officials of the Libyan outfit moved quickly to sign him during Petrojet’s pre-season training at Alexandria.
The former Ghana Under-20 star joined Medeama last season from Liberty Professionals.
