Ghanaian midfielder Michael Anaba marked his first senior debut for Elche in their 2-1 win over Athletic Club 11.
The 21-year-old replaced Sergio León in the 77th minute as Los Franjiverdes coasted to their first win of the season.
The former Kotoko combative midfielder joined Elche two years ago but was restricted to youth football.
But the highly-rated Ghanaian youngster marked his first competitive senior debut for the side as they won at the Estadio Manuel MartÃnez Valero on Sunday.
The debut paves way for the ex-Ghana youth international to stake a claim in the team.
Elche was forcibly relegated last season for financial reasons.
