Winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi has confirmed his proposed move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko has stalled.

The Ghana youth international has undergone a successful medical at the club but dispute over the duration of the contract has put the move on ice.

Kotoko want to tie him to a three-year deal while the former Maritzburg United winger prefers to join on a two-year deal.

The ex-All Stars player has confirmed his move to the Porcupine Warriors is on hold.

“It’s true that the deal has not been concluded. They want me to sign for three years and I want two. That is where the disagreement is,” he told Happy FM

“Coach Dramani wanted me to play in the return leg of the GHALCA Top-four but I decided against it because I’m a professional and so the right thing must be done.

“What if I played in that game and got injured. This is my career and my life and so I cannot take such risk.

“But I’m hoping the issue will be resolved quickly so I can focus on my game. I have been training with Kotoko since last Saturday and I’m happy here.”

The 20-year-old left Maritzburg United at the end of last season after spending three-years with the South African side.
