Ex-Hearts Chairman Harry Zakour tells Togbe Afede: "We are ready to invest in Hearts but not now"

Former Hearts of Oak CEO, Harry Zakkuor has revealed that the old directors of the club are ready to once again invest in the team but they will wait till February.

The club has become a laughing stock over the past years due to their failure to stamp their authority on the local scene.

The last time the Phobians won a major silverware was in 2009 when they won the Ghana Premier League for the 20th time.

However, at the club’s AGM last Wednesday, the under-fire majority shareholder and Board Chairman of the club, Togbe Afede XIV revealed his readiness to relinquish his shares in the club.

And in less than 72 hours, former CEO of the Rainbow Family who guided the club to win the CAF Champions League in 2000 has responded to the traditional ruler in grand style.

“The shares that has been floated is only 20%. They owe TT Brothers. They owe me and some other people so when we are coming in I think things will change."

"We can’t put money in the old shares at the moment. When the window is open in February we will have something to say.” Zakkuor told Boss FM.

The Phobian fraternity held their Annual General Meeting at the International Conference Center in Accra three days ago and new shareholders were believed to have joined the family.
