Hearts of Oak patron Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe has given coach CK Akunnor an overwhelming endorsement to end the sideââ¬â¢s trophy drought this season.
The former African champions have now gone two seasons without winning any piece of silverware.
The Phobiansââ¬â¢ last title success was in 2010 when they won the Top four trophy.
The Accra-based side has since endured a title-stricken run but ex chairman Tamakloe says coach Akunnorââ¬â¢s initial works points towards a positive direction.
ââ¬ÅI have always been saying that CK Akunnor is a good coach,â⬠he told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.
ââ¬ÅWhat he is doing in Hearts of Oak now is a great job and if he continues with what he is doing I have no doubt in my mind that Hearts will win the league.ââ¬
Hearts have made a strong start to the season â⬓ picking four points out of a possible six which included a 5-2 thrashing of New Edubiase United.
