Ex-Hearts of Oak trainer David Duncan has described Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure as phenomenal and arguably the greatest 'complete' footballer he ever had the privilege to watch.

Duncan remarked minutes after City thumped Aston Villa by 4-0 in an outstanding English Premier League match on Wednesday night to move within a point of reclaiming their title.

"Yaya Toure, arguably the greatest 'complete' player I have ever had the privilege of watching. He is simply phenomenal," the former Ghana U23 coach wrote on his Facebook page.

Toure has scored an impressive 19 goals in 34 Premier League games for Manchester City in the 2013/14 season.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year emerged as the third best player to Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard according to the Football Writers' Association.

Toure is expected to replicate his dazzling form for Cote d'Ivoire at the upcoming FIFA World Cup finals this June in Brazil.
