Ex-Hearts goalie Adjei wants to silence critics

Ex-Hearts goalkeeper Sammy Adjei is keen on a return to top-flight football to prove his critics wrong.

The 32-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Hearts last year.

The former Black Stars shot-stopper has claimed he’s on the verge of crossing carpet to join Asante Kotoko.

The former Ashdod glovesman says he is eager to return to the top of Ghana football to silence his doubters.

“I am determined to get back to business and a deal with Kotoko is almost through as we speak which I am very confident will work out,” he said.

“I am a good goalkeeper and I know what I can do in the posts. I’m sure everyone saw my performances with Accra Hearts of Oak over the years and that is evidence of what Sammy Adjei can do.

“My aim is to prove a point to all Ghanaians that I am still the best.”

Adjei has accused the Ghana FA  of hatred against him after been overlooked for national team call-up since 2008.
