Former Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has paid glowing tribute to deceased Herbert Addo.

Addo died on Friday morning in Accra at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra after battling illness for some time.

Yatsuhashi lauded the former Inter Allies coach for his tactical ingenuity and indepth knowledge of the game.

The Japanese coach played against Addo in a thrilling Ghana Premier League where Hearts raced from two down to beat Allies 3-2 in Tema.

He posted on his Twitter page: ''His team was excellent when we played against, and now I have no way to play against his team again.  Great man.  What a loss.  RIP.

''He was a role model for all coaches because he never stopped learning even from younger and less experienced coaches.  True winner.

''He was never satisfied w his knowledge and always hunger to improve himself.  This is very difficult to do at his age in 2016  &w his status.''
