Ex-Hearts star Laryea Kingston tips Herbert Addo to transform club
Herbert Addo has been backed to succeed at the club

Ex-Hearts midfielder Laryea Kingson has backed Herbert Addo to succeed at the club.

Addo was appointed as the club’s coach last month to replace Mohammed Polo.

The former Inter Allies trainer has been tasked with recapturing the Ghana Premier League title which has eluded them for close to six years.

Laryea Kingson, who endured a difficult spell on his return to his boyhood club, is confident Addo can transform the side.

“It’s a very good choice that they have made because Herbert Addo is a very good coach. To me, he is the best coach we have in this country,” Laryea is quoted by Allsports.com.gh

“He can easily be the national team coach and he will deliver. He knows how to talk to players, he knows the local terrain very well and can change tactics depending on the opponent because he knows all the teams and the players.

“Sure, it’s been long since they won something but with him Hearts can successfully challenge for the league and other titles.

"Management should try and give him time because one thing about a coach creating his own team is patience. Players also need time to understand what you are about.

He added: “Last season, the players they had were not bad, they were just young. With one or two injured players to return and maybe up to four new additions, I think they should get a winning team that can bring successes to Hearts.”

Hearts have played catch-ups to rivals Kotoko over the last three years and remain defiant about their chances this term.
