Ex-Hearts winger Laryea Kingston urges Kotoko supporters to exercise patience with Lugarusic

Former Hearts of Oak winger Laryea Kingston has told Asante Kotoko supporters to exercise restrain with coach Zdravko Lugarusic.

The Croatian tactician has been under enormous pressure from the Reds faithful following the team’s failure to win games in style and on Thursday, GHANAsoccernet.com reported that the coach was prevented from supervising the team's training at Adacko Jachie just a day after controversially losing to Medeama SC in week 10 of the Ghana Premier League.

But, Kingston urged the supporters to take it easy with the coach and likened the situation to their sworn rivals Hearts of Oak, who are also struggling to impress in the campaign for their late appointment of coach Frank Nuttall.

‘’I have been watching Kotoko and Hearts of oak. I don’t think they are doing badly remember those coaches are new and I think it is too early to criticize them,” Laryea told Kumasi based Abusua FM.

‘’They are building a team and it is not easy. You need some time to do that. Some of the players will adapt to your philosophy easily, other too, it will take time supporters should exercise patience.”

"You can only criticize them at middle or the end of the league’’ he added.

The Porcupine Warriors have failed to record a victory in their last three premier league outings.
