Ex Asante Kotoko board member Kennedy Agyapong was amongst three high profile personalities to have bought the first copies of legendary Azumah Nelsonââ¬â¢s book launched on Wednesday.
Agyapong pledged GHâ100,000 (over $30,000) alongside former Ghana President Jerry Rawlings and business mogul Sir Sam Jonah to capture the first three copies of the 278-page book.
Titled, ââ¬ËThe Professorââ¬â¢ (the life story of Azumah Nelson) the book authored by Ashley Morris captures the steady rise of Azumah Nelson from obscurity to become a world conquerer through hard work, dedication and discipline.
Azumah Nelson remains Ghanaââ¬â¢s biggest boxing export who ruled the world for 10-years before hanging up his gloves in 1998.
His book launch thus drew a wide range of high profile personalities who admired the progress of the ââ¬ËProfessorââ¬â¢.
Kennedy Agyapong who stood on behalf of his Kenpong Group of Companies to pledge GHâ100,000 to buy one of the first copies of the book which was auctioned at the launch on Wednesday.

Ex Ghana President Jerry Rawlings, who launched the book declared it a must read book for all especially the youth saying, ââ¬Å This book is a must-read one, am not promoting it for its sake, butà its content has the ability to change the psyche of Ghanaians especially the youth.ââ¬

Proceeds from the book sale will be used to support the Azumah Nelson Foundation.
