Controversial Ghanaian striker Yahaya Mohammed started training with Egyptian side Al Ittihad on Wednesday night hours after completing a deal with the Alexandra-based side.

Ghana's leading football news outfit, www.ghanasoccernet.com, exclusively revealed on Wednesday that the ex-Kotoko striker signed a deal with the club from Libyan side Al Ittihad.

Hours after sealing the loan deal in Egypt, he started training with the Egyptian side in a bid to be ready for the start of the league season in Egypt.

The 26-year-old, who was released by Kotoko last week, signed for Libyan side Al Ittihad earlier which triggered his trouble with the Kumasi-based giants Kotoko.

Mohammed signed pre-contract agreement with the Libyan which Kotoko contested heavily before admitting that they cannot keep the errant striker.

Kotoko released the player last week  to bring an end to the battle between the two parties over the striker's future.

The 2014 CHAN star has previously played for French side OGC Nice, Tema Youth, All Stars and Real Tamale United.
