Adam Kwarasey wans Nassam Yakubu sacked

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey will ONLY return to the Black Stars if trainer Nassam Yakubu is SACKED, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Norway-based shot-stopper has frozen himself out of the national team following allegations of favouritism in the wake of the country’s shambolic performance at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The former Strømsgodset captain is angry with Ghana’s goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu, accusing him of playing a key role in his exclusion in the Black Stars starting line-up against Germany and Portugal.

The 26-year-old has questioned the competence and fairness of Yakubu and wants him replaced before he stages a return to the national team, GHANA’s leading football website can reveal.

Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu revealed on Wednesday that there are talks to convince him to return to the team following mounting concerns over the goalkeeping department ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Kwarasey excused himself from the qualifiers and remains adamant about his stance on the goalkeepers’ trainer.

He does not see eye-to-eye and wants him sacked from his current position as he fears he cannot be guaranteed evenhandedness in the selection process.

With Ghana most likely to maintain their backroom staff ahead of the continental showpiece, it remains to be seen if the Ghana FA will reach a compromise to have the matter resolved.
