Germany-based defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has been invited for Ghana’s double 2018 World Cup qualifier against Comoros this month, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Ghana coach Avram Grant wants to give the right back another opportunity to strut his stuff after an impressive debut last month in the friendly against Canada played in Washington.

The Black Stars travel to Moroni for the first leg on 13 November at the Stade Said Mohamed Cheikh Mitsamiouli and the return leg four days later in Kumasi.

The 23-year-old has been in top form for Bundesliga II side Eintracht Braunschweig where he has made eight appearances for the fifth-placed team after 13 matches.

Ofosu-Ayeh was born to Ghanaian father and a German mother.

He came close to playing for Ghana at the 2011 African Youth Championship in South Africa but delays in the issuance of his Ghanaian passport cost him.
