EXCLUSIVE: CAF appoints Libyan referee Mohamed Ragab Omar to handle Ghana-Comoros World Cup qualifier in Kumasi

Libyan referee Ragab Omar Mohammed will be the centre man when Ghana host Comoros in the 2018 World Cup qualifier on November 17, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Omar Mohammed is not a familiar face having officiated the country’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea in Morocco last year.

The well-respected FIFA referee will be supported by compatriots El Maghrabi Foaad and Abulkhir Khalid with Ashraf Abdallah Baesus serving as fourth official.

Egyptian Siam Essam Abbas Mohammed Islam will serve as the referee assessor while Angolan Muluta Prata Agostinho Basilio has been appointed as the match commissioner.

The Black Stars travel to Comoros for the first leg tie on November 13 before hosting Les Coelecantes four days later in Ghana’s second largest city, Kumasi.
