Cagliari rising starlet Godfred Donsah is an injury doubt for Ghana ahead of the 2015 World Youth Championship in New Zealand, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 18-year-old is struggling to be fit for the world showpiece due to persistent injuries.

The Ghanaian youngster has not featured for Cagliari in recent weeks and missed their 2-0 defeat at Genoa last weekend.

The youngster is now a doubt for the Black Satellites ahead of the World Youth Championship which kick starts next month in New Zealand.

Black Satellites management committee chief Wilfred Osei admits the team is desperate for the midfielder to recover fully in time ahead of the championship.

“We are worried. It’s a situation we’re concerned about because he will be an important member of this squad,” he said

“We are keeping a close eye on his progress. We know his quality and what he brings to bear on this team.

“Surely we need him to be fit and fast for us.

The West Africans are counting on the Manchester City target to execute a successful campaign in the southwestern Pacific Ocean.

The Ghanaians have started a two-week residential camping in Ghana ahead of their tour of New Zealand in a fortnight.
