Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach David Duncan has been given three weeks break to rest and return to prepare the team for the preseason, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The under pressure Kotoko manager had a long meeting with the management and board of the club this morning and was granted the after the meeting to have some rest from what is described as a difficult season.

David Duncan could not lead the Porcupine Warriors to defend the title won in 2014 by former manager Didi Dramani placing sixth with the club.

The Porcupine Warriors could also defend their FA Cup title losing by 2-1 in the finals to winners Medeama SC. Duncan is therefore expected to be at post to start the preseason with the club by October 13 to prepare for the 2015/2016 league season.

David Duncan has come under immense pressure lately with some management members of the club rooting for his sack for a foreign coach to take over.

Danish coach Thomas Moller Nielsen watched the team’s Otumfuo Cup clash with AshantiGold with reports emerging that he is in for the technical director role of the club.
