Ex-Kotoko youth defender Yaw Acheampong has signed a three-year deal with Latvian side Babite, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The strong Ghanaian centre-back has joined the Latvian second-tier after leaving the Ghanaian champions.

“I am delighted with the decision to join Babite and I hope to enjoy an incredible time here,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“My former colt club Champions as well as Kotoko deserve praise for nurturing me.I’m looking forward to an exciting time.”

Acheampong was nurtured by Kumasi-based juvenile side Champions FC before he was snapped by Kotoko, where he featured consistently for the youth team.
