Ex-Medeama assistant coach Ben Owu has joined Ashantigold as the club's new goalkeepers' trainer, days after leaving the Tarkwa-based side, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The former Ghana Under-17 goalkeeper resigned from Medeama on Friday citing personal reasons.

Owu has signed a long-term contract with the miners as the club's new goalkeepers' trainer ahead of the new season, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

He is expected to begin work with his new club in the coming days.

Owu's superb work ethics saw him graduate to an assistant coach at the Yellow and Mauves.

He holds a CAF Licence B coaching ceetificate.
