A Nigerian Football expert and FIFA Match Commissioner has advised Ghanaian clubs to introduce incentives at their match venues to woo fans to patronize their matches.

Paul Bassey who is a technical committee member of the Nigerian Football Federation has insisted that since our league is competing with other league around the world it will be very difficult to get the fans as it used to be until different models are introduced.

"As we try to fix our games along the major European leagues, the clubs must introduce incentives to lure their fans to the stadium", Bassey told Ghanasoccernet.com

"How many clubs in Ghana are ready to bus their fans to the stadium and back home after the game? We must make the fans feel secured and important ".

"I worked as a consultant for a club in Nigeria and we introduced a car raffle draw. That year we were able to increase spectatorship by over 70%. When we stopped it dropped but it was better than before. So the clubs must look for innovative ways of handling their fans and they will surely come and watch".

"The clubs can even give the first 50 or 100 people free entry because our game has lost  its quality. We don't have quality fields and it's not exciting like the European ones", he concluded.
