Norwegian Eliteserien side FK Haugesund have made a fresh bid to acquire former Ghana U20 midfielder Derrick Mensah from Czech Republic side Banik Ostrava, according to the player's agent.

Ghanasoccernet can exclusively reveal that the Norwegian side have penciled the young midfield enforcer as their main summer target.

FK Haugesund had an offer for Mensah rejected in the winter transfer window, but it is understood the new improved offer for the midfielder, who once claimed he was pursued by a German Bundesliga club, is likely to be accepted.

Mensah's UK based agent Papa Agyemang has confirmed FK Haugesund's approach and other rumours concerning Ghanaian youngster Isaac Twum.

"Yes it is true the clubs want to sign Mensah and we are still looking at the prospect," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"On Twum, yes. He's a very talented guy and we are looking for the best for his interest as a young footballer so we are still weighing the options," he added.
