Ghana defender Ofosu Appiah has been nominated as the Player of the Month of July in the Latvian top-flight league, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Skonto FC strong centre-back has earned his fourth nomination since joining the Latvian side.
The 23-year-old has been towering for the side with impressive displays at the back for the Riga-based side.
The former Asante Kotoko defender must however fend off competition from Gints Freimanis of JK Jelgava, Edgars Gauracas of Spartaks Jurmala and FK Ventspils’ Kaspars Dubra to win the individual award.
The Ghanaian international has been voted Player of the Month on two occasions by the Latvian Premier League board.
